Heart Day Part 2

We were finally able to see our sweet girl after surgery. Let me just say that I have read blogs and seen pictures of babies right after open heart surgery, but nothing can prepare you for seeing your OWN child in this state. I am not going to lie, it was tough. My heart was racing just walking to her room. I caught a glimpse of her lying on the bed before I even got into the room and I just started bawling. It got easier the longer we were in there, but those first few minutes were hard. We asked a million questions of course, and went over all of the monitors and medicines she was on. She is still sedated and still on a ventilator. They said she would start waking up sometime tonight or tomorrow morning, but they would keep her somewhat sedated for a couple of days. She will probably be on the ventilator for 2 days or so. I decided to post a few pictures, in hopes of helping others that may be getting ready to go through this. The pictures are pretty intense.. you have been warned. The first picture is all of the medicine she they are pumping into her body. Again, the pictures after that may be tough to look at...

We are praising God for a successful surgery!! We are praying the leaky valve will not be an issue going forward. We will keep Praising & Praying, and no matter what, God is GOOD!! We love our sweet girl so much. Please continue to pray for a quick recovery and complete healing! Thank you all so much for your support and prayers today!! We appreciate each and every one of you.
